Lamentamos comunicar que la gira europea de Nikki Lane prevista para el próximo mes de noviembre ha sido cancelada. El importe de las las entradas se devolverá en las próximas horas por el mismo medio de compra por el que fueron adquiridas.

I always believe in saying YES. I put all – and I do mean all of my energy into what I do. So… it is with my most sincere apologies that I am writing you all this. After much deliberation – I have decided to cancel my European fall tour. At the time of its inception, I anticipated I would be coming to visit you all with a new record to share. As it turns out, I have already spent much of this year touring, and in doing so, have neglected myself both time to recharge, and opportunity to record a new album.

I do not take a decision like this lightly. I hate disappointing anyone, especially my fans. I could not write and play music for a living without the support of my team and the promoters who organized these shows, but even more so without each and every one of you.

I’ve struggled all summer with this decision, thinking I would be able to juggle my touring commitments while carving out time for myself to be creative and to produce new material; but if I’m being honest with you all, I’ve simply pushed myself too hard. It is seeping through in all of the lyrics of the new album; and it’s reminding me to take a moment to regroup and refocus on the reason I am doing all of this touring – which is the art itself.

I hope that this message can be received with understanding, and that when I share this new record with you next spring, plans can be made for a return visit to Europe. I love the fans and friends we have made on our last two visits, and I really do look forward to returning to share my new music with you.

Tras su tercer álbum de estudio, “Highway Queen” (2017), Nikki Lane se encuentra trabajando en el que será su cuarto disco (planeado para principios de 2020), el tercero con New West Records, donde nos mostrará todo lo que ha aprendido durante su estancia en Nashville, Tennessee… su hogar.
En 2010, se trasladaba al este de Nashville y comenzaba su carrera de compositora a la vez que abría una tienda estilo vintage donde vendía souvenirs de sus viajes por la carretera, llamada, High Class Hillbilly. Como una verdadera Libra, le encanta el equilibrio y la tranquilidad, de hecho, ella y su compañero Jonathan Tyler han pasado el último año viviendo en una casa en mitad de la nada en el sur de Austin. “El solo hecho de poder jugar una partida de billar con él, me acercó más a mis raíces del country y me abrió los ojos con
respecto a la escena musical de Austin” comenta la propia Lane. Ella y Tyler suelen organizar una fiesta “Where is the Hideout?” en el que buscan un lugar tranquilo para “ocultarse” del bullicio que genera el festival SXSW celebrado en Austin cada año en primavera, por el que han pasado, entre otros, Tony Joe White, Justin Townes Earle o Ray Wylie Hubbard.
El sonido de Lane se caracteriza por la facilidad que tiene para mezclar diferentes estilos. Combina potentes letras con guitarras típicas del blues y el country pop de los años 60´. La nueva música que prepara Nikki gustará tanto a los fanáticos de Lana Del Rey o Jenny Lewis como a los mas “clásicos” fans de Neil Young o Tom Petty. Lane espera con ansia su regreso a Europa junto a su banda de Nashville.
